Could you, or someone in your network, be our new Digital Strategist?
satellite is hiring a digital strategist to design and implement a social media and online strategy for the company, tying in with the launch of a new artist film commissioning scheme, to launch mid June (date tbc).
satellite is a production company specialising in artists' moving image. Our work is socially engaged, with a focus on the intersection between technological and social change. Our portfolio includes short and feature length work, as well as moving image installation, documentary and music video.
The role
We are looking for someone who can work with our Creative Director and lead Producer remotely to build the brand’s social media community across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other platforms TBC, and to build content pages on Youtube, Vimeo from our back catalogue.
This person will preferably have strong networks with the UK film and art industries, and be excited to be a creative member of the team over a 6 month period:
Building a social media strategy with the launch of the commissions scheme as our key message to share in mid June
Collating assets and scheduling social media posts over 6 months via Hootsuite or other platforms
Helping to devise and shape the brand identity and voice
Be creative with sharing content not only to do with the company’s work, but also the wider industry, including other opportunities for filmmakers and artists etc.
Some outreach work to key young people and regional film partners, ahead of the launch of the scheme
Devising the scheme’s social media posts for partners to share
Build our back catalogue on Youtube and Vimeo
You must be UK-based. The post is a part-time freelance contract, and we will work with you to agree hours/schedule.
The fixed fee for the post is £2400 across the 6 month period (incl. VAT and any employment-related taxes where applicable).
