Youth Trilogy is a series of artist films made in collaboration with young people from marginalised UK backgrounds. Together the three works represent a snapshot of what it means to be a young person in the UK at this present moment. The films are made using a collaborative, socially-engaged methodology.
The first film in the trilogy is currently in post production (extract above). It presents a portrait of a group of teenagers experiencing homelessness in Stoke-On-Trent, and their views on urgent socio-political and cultural issues.
The second film will explore the experience of young people who migrated to the UK during childhood.
The third film will explore the experience of young people living in very remote parts of the UK.
Films two and three are currently in the early stages of development, and require both development and production funding.
