This page will be updated as questions are asked. If there’s anything you need to know about the scheme, please ask us through the contact form (or DM us on Twitter or Instagram) and we’ll get back to you. If we think your question could be of interest to other people too, we’ll add it here.
Yes. You may, for example, be applying for funding for a project, where the fund won’t cover the cost of filming and editing equipment. You can apply for a residency and even use this as support-in-kind on your funding application. Please note that if you’re doing this, it makes sense to apply for a residency a few months in advance, and let us know that you’re applying for funding from other sources in the application, especially if there’s a date you’ll need confirmation from us by.
Applications are considered on a rolling basis. If you apply in March for a esidency in April, you’ll hear back quite quickly but it’s also less likely you’ll be selected, as we’ll likely have selected the April resident already by that point. Apply as soon as you’re able to do, pick the time that makes the most sense for you and your project, and we’ll let you know the outcome in good time.
Two weeks. When you’re shortlisted, we’ll confirm specific dates with you - for now just tell us which month you’d like.
