These terms and conditions are not exhaustive and may be updated at any time.
Satellite will select one artist per month for an AiR Drop Residency. Each residency will last for two weeks, between dates mutually agreed at shortlisting stage.
Residencies comprise:
The provision of the equipment outlined, for the dates agreed
Shipping to and from your place of residence
Light-touch curatorial and technical support, to take place over a mutually agreed platform
A public announcement and celebration of your residency and your work
The exact equipment provided may be changed at any time. In the unlikely event that this is the case, you will be given advance warning and reasonable attempts will be made to provide a substitute.
Satellite reserves the right to terminate any residency. In the unlikely event that this happens before your residency is due to take place, you will be given at least one weeks’ notice.
You warrant that throughout the Residency you will abide by all laws, regulations and best practice associated with the activity you are undertaking, including but not limited to any rules or legislation intended to stop the spread of Coronavirus.
You warrant that you are able to safely operate all equipment provided, and that you will operate the equipment safely at all times.
You warrant that you are solely responsible for any harm caused to anyone or anything through your actions whilst on the Residency, and absolve satellite from any responsibility whatsoever caused by activity during the Residency, either by yourself or a third party.
A Residency does not constitute employment by satellite, nor bring with it any of the rights or protections that would arise from employment.
You warrant that if your activity on the Residency requires any kind of insurance or permit then you will acquire and maintain this at your own cost.
You warrant that if your activity on the Residency requires adherence to any rule, law or byelaw, then you will comply. You absolve satellite of all responsibility for any effects of your failure to observe such rules, laws or byelaws.
All equipment remains the legal property of satellite at all times.
You are responsible for keeping the equipment safe at all times. This includes:
Keeping all equipment in a secure, locked place when not in use
Not letting equipment out of your sight when in use (for example if filming outdoors)
Not leaving or storing the equipment in any place that could cause it to malfunction, for example through water damage, damp, extreme temperatures or any other reasonably foreseeable cause
Notifying satellite immediately of any defect or malfunction of the equipment, or any damage or theft
In the unlikely event of equipment damage then you will co-operate fully with satellite and any third parties including insurers or law enforcement
All work made during the Residency remains the property of the artist.
We will ask you for light-touch documentation of your Residency (a few photographs or screengrabs, for example). You give satellite permission to use these images for documentation purposes, to promote the Residency programme, and to promote the work of satellite. You give satellite permission to reproduce these images in any medium, without royalty or other payment, in perpetuity.
You will acknowledge the support of satellite and the AiR Drop Residency programme whenever or wherever the work, or work in progress, is displayed publicly. We will provide assets to help you do this, for example a card for the credits of your film.
